Scranton, PA – Christian Lawlor scored a pair of goals and Marywood's defense recorded their fourth consecutive shutout as the Pacers picked up a 2-0 victory over Immaculata University in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's soccer action on Tuesday night.  The Pacers secured their second-straight double-digit win season while improving to 10-3 on the season and 6-1 in conference play.

After a sluggish first 30 minutes of play, Marywood picked up its offensive pressure of the final 15 minutes of play in the period and would get the only two goals of the game in a span of 3:53.  At the 33:57 mark, Jordan Krawitz slotted a pass in the middle to Lawlor, where the sophomore ripped a shot from 25 yards out that beat Immaculata goalkeeper Chris Raudabaugh just inside the left post.

Lawlor would strike again in the 38th minute as the 2010 CSAC Rookie of the Year beat a defender and chipping a ball over top of Raudabaugh who was caught off his line from 30 yards out for his team-leading seventh goal of the season.  Lawlor now has a four-game point scoring streak and has 16 points in the Pacers' last seven games on six goals and four assists.

After taking the 2-0 lead into halftime, the Pacers defense made it stand, limiting the Mighty Macs to three second-half shots to secure the shutout win.

Jared El Gayeh picked up his 10th win of the season by making one save in just over 77 minutes in the Pacers goal.  Justin Sunseri played the final 12:57 and made one stop in his collegiate debut to preserve the clean sheet for Marywood, who outshot Immaculata by a 12-6 margin.

Raudabaugh finished the evening with four saves in a losing effort for Immaculata, who fell to 2-13-1 (1-6-1 CSAC) with the loss.

Marywood will host Penn College on Saturday in their final non-conference game of the 2011 schedule.  Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. in Scranton.
