Huntingdon, PA - Marywood University fell to Landmark Conference foe Juniata College 117-87 and to Division II Millersville University 113.5-85.5 but the Pacers got individual wins from Katie Paterson and Kristen Vitale Friday evening in Huntingdon at the Juniata College tri-meet.  Paterson earned wins in the 400-free and the 200-free while Vitale was victorious in the 100-butterfly for the Pacers.

Millersville came away with the win in the opening race as the Marauders won the 200 meter medley relay in a time of 2:08.71.  Marywood's team of Keri Bensley, Sara Rigoliosi, Olivia Hower and Victoria Acampora came in fourth with a time of 2:23.86.  In the second event, Marywood's Molly Hitesman came in fourth with a time of 10:53.18 in the 800 meter freestlye. 

Paterson then won the 200-free with a time of 2:18.96, besting Juniata's Kelsey Miles by two seconds.  Hower finished seventh with a time of 2:33.39.  In the 50-meter free, Millersville's Sarah Bernhardt edged Marywood's Catherine Anlas, touching in 27.60.  Anlas finished just over a second later at 28.93. 

In the 200 IM, Vitale finished third to lead the Pacers.  Vitale touched in 2:40.37, just under six seconds behind race winner Brigid Mary McDonnell of Millersville.  Vitale then put in the top time of 1:11.77 in the 100 butterfly, edging Laura Cody of Millersville (1:12.47).

Paterson picked up her second win of the night by finishing the 400-free in 4:46.71, beating Millersville's Arielle Walbert by nearly ten seconds (4:56.36).  Vitale nearly got a second win with a second-place finish in the 100-breaststroke (1:24.01) and Marywood's 200 freestyle relay team of Anlas, Alyssa Desiderio, Paterson and Hitesman lost to Juniata's team by under one second for a second place finish.

Marywood returns to the pool on Sunday when they host Hood College at 1:00 pm in Marywood's Aquatics Center, part of the Robert J. Mellow Center for Athletics and Wellness.
