Michael Stauffer helped Marywood's 400 freestyle relay team to a win as the Pacers beat King's, 134-59 Saturday Marywood Bests King's, Above .500 for First Time in Program History Men's Swimming and Diving - 10/29/2011 3:39:00 PM Meet Results Scranton, PA - Marywood University handled visiting King's College 134-59 to pick up their second win of 2011 as the Pacers moved above .500 for the first time in their short program history with a win Saturday afternoon. The Pacers, now 2-1 on the year, got solid all-around performances from Tim Merli, Chris Brown, Ryan Widenor and Anthony Pisano in the win. Marywood opened the meet with a dominating win in the 400 yard medley relay as Merli, Brown, Widenor and Pisano teammed to earn 11 points with a time of 3:48.55, besting the second place team from King's by over thirty seconds. Despite King's placing the top finisher in both the 1000 yard freestyle and the 200 yard freestyle, Marywood picked up points in both events by finishing second through fourth in the 1000 and second and third in the 200. Pisano then picked up Marywood's first individual win, finishing the 50 yard free in 22.58, beating teammate Justin Verron by nearly two seconds. Michael Stauffer finished third to help Marywood earn 16 points in the event. Merli earned an individual win and nine points with a first place finish in the 200 yard IM as he touched in 2:08.81. James Weber finished third for Marywood with a time of 2:35.86. In the 200 yard butterly, Andy Blevins picked up the win for the Pacers in 2:01.50 and was followed by Widenor who finished in 2:17.50. Pisano would pick up his second individual win of the afternoon with a time of 52:23 in the 100 yard free while Stauffer would finish second in 55.41. Merli earned another win at the 200 yard backstroke and was followed by Alex Martino. Andy Blevins would win the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 5:16.34and Chris Brown would pick up a win in the 200 yard breasstroke (2:24.96) before the Pacers would close out the meet with a win in the 400 yard freestyle relay as Blevins, Martino, Stauffer and Verron finished first in a time of 3:35.56.
