Scranton, PA - Marywood University scored four first half goals and battled tough field conditions the rest of the way as the Pacers clinched the top seed in the upcoming Colonial States Athletic Conference playoffs with a 4-0 win over visiting Rosemont College Saturday afternoon in Scranton.  The game was called at the 70:04 mark due to the weather conditions.

Battling early snow that was not accumulating at the time, Marywood (10-7-1, 9-1-1 CSAC) got on the board first 13 minutes in when Caitlin Light finished off a corner kick.  Lacey Habicht took the corner and her cross was flicked on to Light by Erin Jones.  Both Jones and Habicht were credited with assists on what would be the eventual game-winner.

In the 21st minute, with snow accumulating on the pitch, Marywood was awarded a penalty kick due to a hand-ball in the Raven's 18-yard box.  Lacey Habicht's initial PK shot was saved by Rosemont keeper Gina Donnelly, but Habicht wisely followed her own shot and buried the rebound in the back of the net for the 2-0 Marywood lead.

Just under four minutes later, Emma Nye kept possession inside the Rosemont 18 again and was taken down by Donnelly, and Marywood was awarded another penalty kick.  Nye promptly scored on the PK to give Marywood a 3-0 advantage.

Again just under four minutes later Marywood put the finishing touches on the game as Siobhan Blancaflor scored on a breakaway to put the game out of reach.

Three keepers saw action for Marywood in the win. Emily Osborne started and played 28:23 before being replaced by Dominique Kozuch, who finished the first half.  Meredith Moore played the final 25:04 of the game and made on save on Rosemont's lone shot to preserve the shutout.

Donnelly made 18 stops for the Ravens, who concluded their inaugural season with a 3-11-1 record (2-8-1 CSAC).

Marywood will be the #1 seed and have a first round bye in this week's CSAC playoffs.  The Pacers will host the lowest remaining seed Wednesday at a time to be determined after Monday's first round games.  Neumann University will be seeded second, followed by Centenary College, Cabrini College, Gwynedd-Mercy College and Baptist Bible College.
