Marywood Secures Three-Seed With Win at Immaculata

Immaculata, PA – Marywood University's volleyball team swept host Immaculata University in three games to none on Sunday afternoon to secure the third seed in the upcoming Colonial States Athletic Conference playoffs.   The Pacers close out their regular season with 16-10 overall record and an 8-3 mark in conference play and will host Philadelphia Biblical University in the first round of  the conference tournament on Tuesday. 
 
Marywood won by scores of 25-10, 25-18, and 25-18 to notch the win on Saturday in just under an hour of play.
 
Ashley Zalewski led all players with 13 kills while Kim Lope finished the afternoon with nine kills of her own in the win.  Alyssa Hartranft dished out a match-high 28 assists and added eight digs for Marywood. 
 
Rachel Tollett scooped up a match-best 20 digs for the Pacers and Emily Fillman added 11 digs and two service aces.
 
Tamara Dabady led Immaculata with 10 kills while Kathleen Haefner led the Mighty Macs with 21 assists.  Brooke Schreffler collected 12 digs to lead the hosts in the loss.
 
Marywood's first round match-up against sixth-seeded Philadelphia Biblical is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena on Tuesday.  The Crimson Eagles defeated the Pacers 3-2 on October 11th in Scranton in the teams' regular season meeting this year.
