Scranton, PA - Marywood University allowed just five points in singles play and improved to 5-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference action as the host Pacers blanked visiting Keystone 9-0 in women's tennis action Tuesday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood won all three doubles matches by an 8-0 score in improving to 5-1 overall on the year.

Melissa Hudock and Carly Leitzel beat Keystone's Heather Godino and Julia Sherry at one-doubles, and that victory for the Pacers was followed by a win from Kara Hoff and Megan Nastelli at three-doubles.  Doubles play wrapped up within 45 minutes as Lindsay Burke and Beth Schneider teammed for a win at two-doubles.

In singles play, Hoff was a 6-1, 6-1 victor in the top flight and was followed by Leitzel's 6-0, 6-0 win at two-singles.  At three singles, Burke defeated Elizabeth McDermott 6-1, 6-0 and Schneider was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at four singles over Kate Jackson.

Nastelli earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at five singles and Hudock closed out the victory for Marywood with a 6-1, 6-0 win at six-singles. 

Marywood returns to the courts on Friday October 7 when they play Baptist Bible College in CSAC action.  That match will take place at Birchwood Tennis Club at 4:00 pm.
