Scranton, PA - Fourth-seeded Cabrini College scored first and found the back of the net twice more after Marywood tied the game on two occassions as the Cavaliers advance to Saturday's Colonial States Athletic Conference women's soccer championship game with a 3-2 win over the Pacers Wednesday evening in Scranton.  Marywood, who was the top seed entering the CSAC post-season, now stands at 10-8-1 and awaits a possible berth into the ECAC South Region tournament where the Pacers are the reigning champions.

Cabrini (12-5-2) found the back of the net 15:17 into the contest as Sammy Thompson finished a Dana Drake direct kick for the game's first goal.  That lead would only last five minutes though, as Marywood's Siobhan Blancaflor scored her first of two on the day in the 21st minute.  Kaitlyn Hresko got a shot off on a corner kick for the Pacers and despite Hresko's shot being saved, Blancaflor was there for the finish.

When the two teams met in the regular season, Marywood held a 2-0 lead at the break but Cabrini scored just :14 into the second half.  Tied 1-1 this time, Marywood would not surrender a goal as quick, but did surrender a corner just over a minute after the second half kickoff.  Just like the October 22 game, the Cavaliers took advantage and Thompson fired a shot off the corner that was originally saved, but Melissa Scanzano was there with a follow header to put the visitors up, 2-1.

Marywood again quickly responded as Blancaflor took a long through ball and cut back past two defenders to find the equalizer just under four minutes later.

Cabrini would find the game winner, however, in the 57th minute as Kara Hinkelmon socred off a feed from Noelle DiCiccio.  Despite numerous chances to tie including several close range direct kicks, Marywood could not find a third equalizer on the day.

Emily Osborne had two saves in 90 minutes of action for Marwyood while Maddy Edwards got the win for the Cavaliers after tallying five saves.

Cabrini will face the winner of the other Wednesday CSAC semifinal featuring second seed Neumann University and third seed Centenary College.
