Immaculata, PA - Marywood University's Matt Lepri scored a team-high 15 points to lead five Pacers in double figures as the visiting Pacers downed host Immaculata University 72-69 in overtime Tuesday evening in Immaculata.  Lepri also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds to complete the double-double.  Marywood improved to 2-2 on the year while the Mighty Macs slipped to 1-3 in what was the Colonial States Athletic Conference opener for both schools.

A back and forth affair throughout, Marywood built a slim 31-30 lead at the break when Kirk Fallon sank a layup with 13 seconds remaining in the opening stanza.  Immaculata twice built an eight point lead in the opening half but each time Marywood chipped away at that lead.

The second half proved to be a much tighter game as the largest lead built was seven by Marywood when they were up 43-36 with 15:09 still to go.  The game stayed within five points for the final 13:47 and seven lead changes until overtime.

Marywood held a 62-61 lead with 2:34 to go on a Brent Keyes layup, but the hosts went back up one a layup of their own.  Marywood then went up one with a layup from Pierre Bakinde but the Mighty Macs answered yet again and went up two, 66-64 on a three-pointer from Jarrell Gardner with 10 seconds remaining.

Down two,  with time winding down, Lepri missed a layup but got his own rebound and put-back the game tying basket with just three ticks left on the clock to force overtime.

In OT, Marywood limited the hosts to just one field goal and forced two key turnovers to seal the three-point win.

Lepri's 15 came on 7 of 18 shooting from the floor.  Tyrone Baker added 13 while Keyes and Matt Tintle each had 11.  Bakinde was the fifth Pacers in double digits with 10 points.  Keyes added nine rebounds for the Pacers.  Immaculata's Gardner led four Mighty Macs in double figures with a game-high 17 points.

Marywood returns to action Monday November 28 when they host Keystone College at 8:00 pm in CSAC action.
