Scranton, PA – The University of Scranton won Saturday afternoon's Landmark Conference opening women's swim meet over host Marywood University, 190-85.  The Royals remain undefeated on the season while improving to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in conference meets while the Pacers' record drops to 4-6 on the year and 0-2 in Landmark meets.
 
Katie Paterson won a pair of individual events to lead Marywood.  The sophomore won the 1000 yard freestyle race after finishing in 11:24.36 before winning the 500 yard freestyle after posting a time of 5:33.93.  Kristen Vitale was first overall in the 200 yard butterfly after touching in 2:21.09 and Catherine Anlas won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.34.
 
The Pacers got second place finishes from Heather Wimmer (1 Meter Diving), Anlas (100 yard freestyle), Vitale (200 yard IM), and the 200 yard medley relay team composed of Anlas, Vitale, Paterson, and Chelsea Karabin.
 
Marywood will be idle until January 8th when they host the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in a Landmark Conference meet scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
