Box Score

Hackettstown, NJ - Despite holding host Centenary College to 36.9% shooting from the floor, visiting Marywood University connected on just 23.3% of their own field goal attempts as the Pacers fell to the Cyclones 74-52 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action Tuesday evening in Hackettstown, New Jersey.  The Pacers, who were led by Kirk Fallon's 12-point effort in the loss, fall to 4-4 on the year and 3-2 in CSAC play.  Centenary, who had four players reach double figures, improved to 4-4 and 2-2 in the CSAC.

After falling behind 8-0 early, Marywood settled down and clawed their way back into the game by halftime, finding themselves down just two at the break, 31-29.  Marywood's defensive pressure limited the Cyclones in the first half, but it was the Pacers' offense that hurt themselves in the second half as they would hit just five of 38 shots (13.2%) in the second stanza as the hosts slowly pulled away.

Fallon's team-high 12 points came from a 3-of-5 effort from long range and 75% shooting (3 of 4) from the charity stripe.  Matt Lepri was the only other Pacer to reach double digits with a 10-point night.  Centenary limited Marywood's starting five to just 26 points on the night.

The Cyclones, who got a game-high 21 points from Warren Murphy, also got 16 from Max Hughes, 11 from Andy Charles and 10 from Larry Lenahan.

Marywood will be off for over a week and a half before they look to rebound on the road in a non-conference tilt at Hilbert College on Saturday, December 17.  Tip-off in Buffalo, New York is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
