Langhorne, PA – Marywood University completed a season sweep of Philadelphia Biblical University with an 81-64 win over the Crimson Eagles Saturday afternoon in Langhorne. Marywood evened their overall record at 10-10 on the year and improved to 6-7 in CSAC action, putting them a game up on Centenary College for the sixth and final playoff spot. PBU fell to 0-19 and 0-13 CSAC with the loss.

The Pacers blitzed the nets throughout the second frame, drilling 55.2 percent of their attempts during the back end of play. PBU, conversely, hit just nine of 29 second half looks and were able to manage just a one for six effort  from deep over the final 20 minutes.

Despite only a 19-16 difference in turnovers, Marywood capitalized on the Crimson Eagles' mistakes, converting PBU's miscues into 26 points, compared with nine for the host group. The Pacers also manufactured a distinct 26-4 edge in the paint, a number that helped lead to the squad's high shooting clip.

Down just 42-36 at the break, Marywood broke the game open early in the second frame, at one point going on a 12-4 spurt to boost their edge to 14 midway through the period. The Crimson Eagles would cut the deficit to as little as 10 but couldn't overcome Marywood's hot hand down the stretch.

The Pacers hit nine triples in the contest including an eight for 16 mark during the opening 20 minutes. The visitors also received 26 points off the bench for the game compared to just two fro PBU.  Tyler Reinhard led Marywood with 19 points while Jacques Robinson had 17.  Lenny Martin was the third Pacer in double-figures with 14 points on the night.  Adam Derus had a game-high 26 points for PBU, who also got 16 points from Claude Chalk and 14 points from Jeff Bishop.

Marywood returns to action on Monday evening when they host local conference rival Baptist Bible College in a game scheduled to tip-off at 8:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena. A donation net will be setup at the entrance to the arena to collect donations as part of the “Nets for Nets” program to raise money to provide malaria nets for children in Africa. On Thursday, Marywood will host another local CSAC foe in Keystone College at 8:00 p.m.
