Scranton, PA - Despite hitting just 24% of their shots in the first half Marywood University rebounded with a strong second half, connecting on over 62% of their shots in the second frame to earn a 66-51 win over visiting Baptist Bible College Monday evening at Marywood's Insalaco Arena. Conversely, the Defenders, who held a four-point halftime lead and hit nearly 42% of their opening half shots, went cold in the second half and connected on just 26%.

BBC would build at 25-21 lead thanks in large part to keeping the Pacers' offense cold. Marywood, who scored just four points over the first ten minutes of play, trailed 13-4 with 10:19 left in the first half. Then, down 18-9, Marywood went on a 10-0 run over a three minute span to take their first lead of the game. The Defenders (5-15, 3-10 CSAC) would eventually go into the locker room up four after a Tommy Waszaj three-pointer as time expired.

Marywood (11-10, 7-7 CSAC) and BBC traded leads over the first seven minutes of the second half, but the Pacers took over with just under thirteen to play. Tied at 35-35, Marywood went on a key 11-0 run in a four minute span to take a lead they would never relinquish. Baptist Bible would trim the Pacers' lead to under ten just once the remainder of the way.

Marywood placed three players in double figures as Tyler Reinhard and John Foreman tied for a team high with 15 points apiece. Jacques Robinson added 13 points and hit three timely treys. Luke Peterson led the Defenders with a game-high 17 points while Ryan Sullivan added 12. Sullivan completed a double-double with a game-high 10 rebounds.

Marywood returns to action Thursday night when they host Keystone College at 8:00 pm in the Insalaco Arena for another important CSAC battle. Thursday will also mark Marywood's "Pink Zone" game as both the men's and women's teams will don pink colors to raise awareness to Breast Cancer. Donations will be taken at the gate and pink t-shirts will be available for purchase with all proceeds benefiting the Kay Yow Cancer Research Fund.
