Rosemont, PA – Marywood University blanked host Rosemont College twice Sunday afternoon as the Pacers swept a CSAC doubleheader from the Ravens by final scores of 9-0 and 5-0. Marywood built an early 6-0 lead in the opener and used a six strikeout performance from Jaclyn Parsons en route to the win. In a cleaner defensive game from the Ramblers in the nightcap, Marywood used a seven strikeout effort from Kaitlyn Jones for the win. Marywood improves to 12-10 (8-4 CSAC) while the Ravens remain winless at 0-12 (0-10 CSAC).

Marywood's Jaclyn Parsons yielded four Rosemont hits in the first game, but the Ravens didn't help themselves in the field, committing five errors in the contest. The Ravens trailed 6-0 after the second inning in which two of the errors were committed, when Marywood scored five runs but only one of those runs was earned.

Marywood's 1-4 hitters went 9-for-14 in the opener led by a 4-for-5 performance from Kim Lope. Lope had two RBI as well, as did designated player Kaitlyn Brennan. Lope had a double and picked up a pair of stolen bases as well.

Parsons scattered four hits to pick up the win on the mound. Kathryn Santoli took the loss for the Ravens.

The second game was a more cleanly played contest. Rosemont pitcher Kathryn Santoli held Marywood scoreless going into the 4th inning, when the Ravens ceded a three-spot in the top of the frame, featuring a two-run homer from Marywood's Kaitlyn Jones.

Rosemont's best rally of the game came in the bottom of the 4th inning when the Ravens had loaded the bases with three singles to lead off the inning. A fielder's choice, a strike out and a ground out snuffed the uprising.

The Raven's Christine Zipf had two of the six hits for the home team in the game. Jones also picked up the win on the mound for Marywood, scattering six hits to earn the win in the second game, striking out seven Ravens.

Ashley Dommes had two doubles for Marywood in the nightcap while Jones and Courtlind Davis both had two RBI.

Marywood returns to action Friday when they visit Philadelphia Biblical University in a 3:00 pm CSAC doubleheader.
