Box Score

Scranton, PA - Immaculata University broke open a 2-2 game by plating 10 unearned runs in the sixth inning and the visiting Mighty Macs took advantage of six Marywood errors as the visitors extended their winning streak to nine games with a 17-12 win over the Pacers Monday afternoon in Scranton.  Immaculata, who started the season 3-9, improves to 12-9 overall and 6-3 in CSAC action while Marywood drops their fourth straight and falls to 12-10, 5-6 CSAC.

Marywood took an early 2-0 lead thanks in part to a homer from Brandon Decker.  Decker's solo blast in the second gave Marywood an early lead.  The senior would later add a double and wind up 2-for-5 on the day.  Immaculata tied the game in the fifth and would explode for ten runs in the sixth, all of which were unearned and came with two outs.

From there, Immaculata scored five more times over the next two innings, which proved to be much needed insurance runs as Marywood scored four times in the seventh and six times in the ninth to make it a 17-12 game.

Aaron Dietrich got the win for the Mighty Macs after pitching the first six innings.  Jason Aikens took the loss for the Pacers.

Marywood will look to snap their four-game skid tomorrow when they host King's College in non-conference action.  The single, nine-inning game is slated for  a 4:00 pm start.
