LaPlume, PA - Keystone College held Marywood to three hits in the opener and the Pacers' second game against the Giants was called after five innings due to rain as Marywood fell to the hosts 9-1 and 5-0 in CSAC baseball action Saturday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood fell to 12-15 (5-9 CSAC) with the loss while Keystone remains atop the conference with a 10-1 league mark while improving to 17-8 overall.

Jared Yaniello managed to get two of three Marywood hits in the opener as he went 2-for-3 at the plate.  Ryan Pelle took the loss on the mound after surrendering four earned runs on ten hits over 3.1 innings.  John Stolan pitched the final 2 2/3 for Marywood, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out three.

Mike Diskin was the only other Pacer to get on base in the opener as Keystone plated runs in the first, third and fourth to build a 9-0 lead before Marywood scored once in the seventh on an RBI from Thomas Czerw sacrifice fly.

In a rain-shortened second game, Yaniello was 1-for-2 with a double and Mike Diskin was also 1-for-2 when the game was called in the fifth with Marywood down 5-0.  Richard Bell, who pitched a solid inning of scoreless relief on Friday, took the loss for Marywood after allowing three earned runs on seven hits.  Bell fanned three batters as well.

Marywood will look to end their nine-game skid when they host Philadelphia Biblical University Monday afternoon at 4:00 pm.  The Pacers took two from the Crimson Eagles earlier this season.  The game, despite being played in Scranton, will be a home game for PBU.
