Men's Tennis Extends Conference Regular Season Win Streak to 10

Aston, PA - Marywood University extended their conference regular season win streak to 10 games as the Pacers routed host Neumann University 8-1 Sunday afternoon in CSAC men's tennis action.  The Pacers have not lost a conference regular season game since April 5, 2009 and now stand atop the league standings with an 8-3 (3-0 CSAC) mark.

Marywood swept doubles action to take an early 3-0 lead as Ethan Jones and Frank Nicolosi won easily at three-singles, 8-0.  Marywood also got wins from the one-doubles team of Greg Chilson and Todd Doran (8-5) and the two doubles team of Daniel Pfafman and Wyatt Nolan (8-3).

In singles play, Chilson fell at one-singles 6-1, 6-2 to Neumann's Chris Brown, but the Pacers responded by winning at two through six singles to take home the win.  Doran was a 6-3, 6-4 winner at two singles while Pfafman blanked his opponent 6-0, 6-0 at three-singles.  Jones, Nolan and Nicolosi won at four through six singles, respectively, to secure the win.

Marywood returns to action Monday with a rescheduled match at nearby Keystone College. The Pacers and Giants square off at 3:00 pm.
