Frank Nicolosi picked up his first collegiate singles win with a 7-5, 6-3 win over his opponent from Cabrini Saturday Pacers Open CSAC Play with Shutout of Cabrini Men's Tennis - 4/2/2011 3:45:57 PM Box Score Scranton, PA - Marywood University opened defense of their 2010 CSAC Championship in impressive fashion and Frank Nicolosi picked up his first collegiate singles win as the host Pacers shutout visiting Cabrini College 9-0 in men's tennis action Saturday afternoon in Scranton. The Pacers, now winners of four straight, improve to 5-3 on the year (1-0 CSAC) while the Cavaliers fall to 1-6 (0-1 CSAC). Marywood's one-doubles team of Greg Chilson and Todd Doran got the Pacers off to a strong start as the duo blanked their Cabrini counterparts 8-0. Wyatt Nolan and Daniel Pfafman teamed at two-doubles for an 8-4 win for the Pacers, while Marywood's three-doubles team of Ethan Jones and Nicolosi also won by a score of 8-4. With at 3-0 lead heading into singles action, Marywood made quick work of their opponents to take home the conference win. Chilson one at the top flight 6-1, 6-1 and Doran followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at two-singles. Pfafman was a 6-0, 6-0 victor over Justin Lutteroty and Jones earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at four singles. Nolan collected a 6-1, 6-3 win before Nicolosi earned his first win in NCAA singles action, defeating Cabrini's Jake Neary 7-5, 6-3 in the closest match of the afternoon.
