Gwynedd Valley, PA - Host Gwynedd-Mercy College rallied from a 2-1 deficit by scoring five runs over the seventh and eighth innings and the host Griffins went on to a 6-3 win over visiting Marywood University Friday afternoon.  The win moves GMC to 11-13-1 (8-5 CSAC) on the year while Marywood falls to 13-16 (6-10 CSAC).

Gwynedd jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the home half of the second but Marywood responded with a run in the third when Nicholas Pasqualichio's sacrifice fly to left scored Mike Diskin from third.  The Pacers would go up 2-1 in the sixth when Shane Miller's RBI single to center scored Pasqualichio. 

The Griffins turned on the offense in the seventh, plating three runs to take a 4-2 lead.  The hosts would then add two more in the eighth before Marywood scored once in the ninth on an error.

Jason Aikens took the loss for Marywood after allowing three earned runs on eight hits over 6.1 innings of work.  Mike Siciliano closed the rest of the game for Marywood, allowing two runs in 1.2 innings.

Joe Diskin was 2-for-5 for the Pacers and was the lone batter with multiple hits.  Pasqualichio, Thomas Czerw and Steve Wade eached doubled for Marywood with Pasqualichio and Miller picking up RBIs.

The Pacers will close the 2011 CSAC regular season tomorrow when they host GMC in a doubleheader at 12:00 pm.
