Winchester, VA – Senior attackman William Roerden scored four goals, including the 100th of his career, and added an assist to lead Marywood University to a 13-6 victory over Shenandoah University in the Colonial States Athletic Conference regular season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon. Twin brother Brian Roerden added three goals as Marywood completed their third-straight double-digit win season while improving to 10-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play. 

Goals by Brian Roerden and Riley Dobel gave Marywood a 2-0 lead with 3:55 to play in the first quarter before Tyler Keegan got one back for Shenandoah with 1:37 to play in the opening period. William Roerden netted his first goal of the game off an assist from George Downey IV just 22 seconds into the second quarter on an extra-man opportunity for the Pacers. The Hornets sandwiched a pair of goals around a Joe LaBella tally to cut their deficit to 4-3 with 8:17 to play in the second quarter, but Marywood got the final three goals of the half from the Roerden brothers, including two from Brian and one from William, to hold a 7-3 lead at the break.

The Pacers stretched their lead to 9-3 with the first three goals of the third quarter, with Brian Roerden, Nick Parks, and Marcus Janda all finding net. Bryan Pope's second goal of the game at the 8:12 mark interrupted the Pacers' run, but William Roerden's third goal of the contest with 4:53 showing on the clock gave the visitors a 10-4 advantage heading into the final 15 minutes of play.

Janda netted his second goal of the contest four minutes into the fourth quarter before Mac Hedrick responded just over a minute and a half later. William Roerden's fourth goal of the game, assisted by Chris Riley with 4:20 to play, gave Marywood a 12-5 lead and the senior attackman the 100th goal of his collegiate career, joining Parks as the only two Pacers to reach the milestone.

LaBella potted his second goal of the afternoon with 2:52 to play while Shenandoah's PJ Cooper rounded out the scoring with an unassisted tally with just over a minute to play.

William Roerden led all scores with five points on four goals and one assist while Brian Roerden (3 goals) and Janda (2 goals, 1 assist) both recorded three-point efforts for the Pacers. LaBella (2 goals) and Anthony Tuscai (2 assists) also had multi-point performances for Marywood, who held a 41-31 advantage in shots, a 45-26 edge in groundballs. 

Gregory Nester collected a game-high eight groundballs for Marywood while Nick Johnson led all players with four caused turnovers. The Pacers won 16 of the games 23 face-offs led by Downey's 10-11 effort on draws while Stephen Klepfer went 5-8 on face-offs.

Jesse Habich notched his 10th win of the season by making 10 saves in nearly 57 minutes of action while Eric Luhrmann made one save in just over three minutes of action.

Marywood, the number two seed for the third-consecutive season, will host Gwynedd-Mercy College in a CSAC Semifinal on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The Pacers defeated the Griffins 10-7 in Scranton on April 16th.
