Aston, PA – Marywood University's volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-1 decisions at the Knights Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Neumann University. The Pacers, who are now 5-5 on the season, were defeated by the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in four games before bowing to Bryn Mawr College by the same result in the nightcap.

Marywood claimed the opening game against Pitt-Bradford 25-17, but the Panthers responded with wins of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-20 to take the victory. 

Kim Lope led the Pacers' attack with 18 kills while Ashley Zalewski and Jessica Lynne Swida each knocked down nine kills. Alyssa Hartranft led Marywood with 45 assists and 17 digs while Rachel Tollett added 14 digs and four services in the loss.

The Pacers also claimed game one of their match against Bryn Mawr by a 26-24 margin, but the Owls won the next three games by scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 25-16, respectively, to hand Marywood their second loss of the day.

Zalewski recorded a team-best 10 kills while Lope contributed nine to finish with 27 for the day. Hartranft, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, handed out 28 assists and added 11 digs while Tollet's 12 digs led the Pacers.

Marywood returns to action on Thursday evening when they face Wilkes University in a non-conference matched scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Marywood's Insalaco Arena.
