DeSales Edges Marywood in Non-Conference Field Hockey Action

Allentown, PA - Host DeSales University improved to 2-4 on the season by making a first half goal stand as the difference as the Bulldogs edge Marywood University 1-0 in non-conference field hockey action Tuesday afternoon.  Marywood slipped to 1-5 with the loss.

Alison Malatesta scored at the 21:55 mark when she shot past Marywood goalkeeper Jamie Bowman's right for the game-winning tally after collecting a pass from twin-sister Alyssa who had settled a rebound. 

Despite six saves from Bownman to keep the Pacers in the game, Marywood could not manage much offense as they only put one shot on frame to test DeSales goalkeeper Victoria DelToro.

Marywood returns to action Saturday when they resume their CSAC slate with a 10:00 am tilt at Gwynedd-Mercy College.
