Scranton, PA - Nine different players recorded points led by two goals from Alexis Hilliker and two assists from Lacey Habicht as Marywood improved to 2-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference action with an 8-1 win over visiting Philadelphia Biblical University Tuesday afternoon in Scranton.  In all, Marywood peppered the Crimson Eagles with 28 shots, 23 of which were on frame.

The Pacers (3-4) opened the scoring at the 7:16 mark when Kaitlyn Hresko settled a cross from Habicht, spun and beat PBU keeper Naomi Collip.  Marywood would double their lead just 1:45 later when Hilliker netted her first collegiate goal, and the eventual game-winning tally, by taking a feed from Jessica Cosentino and burying the shot to make it 2-0.

Just over five minutes later, sophomore Emma Nye connected with classmate Erin Jones to give Jones her third goal of the season and the Pacers a 3-0 lead.  At the 24:50 mark, Caitlin Kerkering volleyed in an attempted clear off the goal line from 12 yards out to give the Pacers a 4-0 lead, a score which would hold til halftime.  Marywood held a commanding 19-0 shot advantage at halftime and had five corner kicks to none for PBU.

Four and a half minutes into the second frame, Jones was tripped up in the box and a penalty kick was awarded.  Nye converted the attempt to put the Pacers up 5-0.  A little under four minutes later the Pacers extended the lead to 6-0 when Caitlin Light scored on a tough angle from the edge of the 18 yard box but only about six yards off the endline, beating Collip to the upper near post for her first goal of the season.

Hilliker then scored her second of the afternoon four minutes after Light's tally, using her body to put the ball in the goal off another Habicht assist.

At the 65:11 mark PBU got behind the Marywood defense and Amara Mills scored from just outside the 18 for the Crimson Eagles lone goal.  Twenty-one minutes later, Olivia Habicht scored unassisted after dribbling through severel PBU defenders in the middle of the field for the Pacers' final tally.

Marywood out-shot the Crimson Eagles 28-1 on the day, putting 23 on goal and forcing Collip to make 15 saves.  Three Marywood keepers saw time with none making a save on the afternoon.  Emily Osborne played nearly 24 minutes in goal before being replaced by Dominique Kozuch, who played just over 40 minutes in between the pipes.  Meredith Moore played the final 25 minutes in goal and allowed the one goal.

Marywood has no time to celebrate as they face off with the University of Scranton tomorrow night at 7:00 pm at Scranton's Fitzpatrick field.  The meeting between the Pacers and Royals, who are ranked #8 in the NSCAA's latest Mid-Atlantic poll, is the first ever between the two programs.
