Radnor, PA - Marywood University's early goal from Kris Kassel could not stand as host Cabrini College scored once in each half to take a 2-1 win from the Pacers in CSAC action Wednesday evening in Radnor.  Marywood, who played the final 12+ minutes a man-down due to a red card, had several chances to tie in the final minutes of game but could not find the equalizer.  The Pacers fall to 3-2 (1-1 CSAC) while the host Cavaliers improve to 5-3 (1-0 CSAC).

Kassel found the back of the net at the 13:41 mark for his first collegiate goal, giving the Pacers the 1-0 lead.  Kassel settled the ball with his chest and placed a shot just over Cabrini goalkeeper Eric Nowicki's head.

Twenty two minutes later, however, the hosts would knot the score with a penalty kick.  Jim Mattock converted the attempt at the 35:13 mark to level the score at 1-1.

The hosts would get the eventual game winner in the 59th minute of play as Mattock took a corner kick and found Matt Sabin for a header at the top of the six that would find the back of the net.

The Pacers dug a deeper hole in the 78th minute when Shane Quinn was ejected from the match with a red card.  Playing a man down the rest of the way, Marywood had several chances but could not score.

In an evenly played match, each team took seven shots, with Marywood placing four on goal and Cabrini placing three on frame.  In the only uneven stat of the night, Cabrini held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Marywood returns to CSAC action Saturday when they host Rosemont College at 1:00 pm.
