Scranton, PA – Marywood University's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win over visiting Keystone College in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Tuesday evening in the Insalaco Arena. The Pacers improve to 8-5 on the season and 2-1 in the CSAC with their third-straight victory while the Giants fall to 1-9 overall and remain winless in three conference matches.
Marywood won the first game 25-14, and then went up 2-0 with a 25-19 decision in game two before closing the match out with a 25-16 victory in the third frame.
Kim Lope led all players with six kills on the evening while Erica Krakosky added five kills and Jessica Lynne Swida contributed four kills. Alyssa Hartranft added a match-best 20 assists for Marywood and Rachel Tollett led the squad with seven digs. Hartranft, Swida, and Tollett each had two service aces apiece in the victory.
Roseann Rutledge and Shelby Morgan led Keystone with four kills apiece. Lisa Ostrander had a team-best eight assists while Danielle Cedeno led all players with 12 digs in the loss.
Marywood will be back in action on Thursday evening as the play host to Gwynedd-Mercy College in CSAC play. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena.
