Radnor, PA – Marywood University halted a three-meet losing streak by dominating Cabrini College 157-42 in non-conference men's swimming action Sunday afternoon outside Philadelphia.  The Pacers move back above .500 on the year and stand at 6-5 overall while the Cavaliers fell to 1-8 with the loss.

The Pacers opened Sunday's meet by taking both first and second in the 400 medley relay.  Marywood's “B” team of Ryan McKeown, Jon Cheung, Andy Blevins and Alex Martino edged the Pacers' “A” team by just over a second.  The “B” team touched in 4:12.07 while Christopher Brown, Michael Legath, Ryan Widenor and Michael Stauffer touched in 4:13.50.

In the 1000 freestyle, Marywood's McKeown came in second with a time of 11:41.80, barely losing out to Cabrini's Tim McCann who won the event with a time of 11:41.73.  In the 200 free, Marywood took first through third place after Tim Merli won in a time of 1:57.37.  Anthony Pisano touched second in 1:58.33 and James Weber finished third in 2:18.03. 

In the 50 free, Widenor finished first with a time of 23.79 and Martino touched second in 24.03.  In the 200 IM Marywood again would take first through third.  Blevins won in a time of 2:13.44 while Stauffer touched second in 2:22.56.  Benjamin Raines finished third in 2:52.67.

Brown won the 100 butterfly in 1:04.75 for the Pacers and was followed by teammate Weber who finished in 1:07.04.  In the 100 freestyle, Merli's time of 50.73 was good enough for first place while Widenor finished second in 52.86.

Pisano won the 500 freestyle in 5:24.26 and was followed by Martino's second place finishing time of 5:38.91.  The Pacers closed out the meet with first and second place finishes in the 200 free relay.  Marywood's “A” team of Merli, Stauffer, McKeown and Weber finished first in 1:39.83 and were followed by the Pacers' “B” team of Brown, Widenor, Raines and Pisano who touched in 1:43.27.

Marywood returns to action Wednesday when they host Wells College at 5:00 pm.
