Radnor, PA – A day after suffering a tough Landmark Conference loss to Susquehanna University, Marywood University rebounded with an impressive 141-80 win over Cabrini College in non-conference women's swimming action Sunday afternoon in Radnor.  Marywood snapped a three-meet losing skid and improves to 5-8 overall while the Cavaliers are now 1-9 on the year.

Marywood opened the meet in a strong way, capturing both first and second place in the 400 medley relay.  Marywood's “A” team of Catherine Anlas, Kristen Vitale, Olivia Hower and Molly Hitesman won the race in a time of 4:43.25.  The Pacers' “B” team of Keri Bensley, Diana Young, Emma Fritzinger and Victoria Acampora finished second with a time of 5:04.45.

Katie Paterson won the 1000 freestyle in a time of 11:13.59, touching the finish line in over a full minute ahead of her nearest competitor.  In the 50 free, Anlas picked up nine points with a first place finish (26.37).  In the 200 IM, Vitale was victorious in a time of 2:24.41.  Paterson won her second event of the day, the 500 freestyle, in a time of 5:30.56.

Young found herself atop the podium in the breaststroke, winning the race in 1:23.00.  Marywood closed the meet with a win from the Pacers' “A” team in the 200 freestyle relay as Paterson, Hower, Vitale and Anlas teamed for the win.

Marywood will look to stay on the winning track Wednesday when they host Wells College in a non-conference meet.  The meet is slated for a 5:00 pm start at Marywood's Aquatics Center.
