Madison, NJ – Marywood University's Katie Paterson has been named the Landmark Conference's women's swimming and diving athlete of the week for the week ending January 29.  Paterson helped Marywood close the regular season with a victory with a strong showing against Arcadia. The sophomore won three individual events and was part of a winning relay.

Paterson touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle by swimming 2:05.29, was also first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:28.79 and then won the 200 IM in 2:27.23. She also swam in the winning 200-medley relay that claimed a winning time of 2:02.13.  Paterson becomes the first female swimmer to earn the Conference's weekly honor.  Andy Blevins from the men's team was named male swimmer of the week on November 20, 2011.

Marywood will take some momentum into the Landmark Championships in two weeks when the team hosts the meet after posting a 164.5-86.5 win over Arcadia in its regular season finale. The Pacers closed the season with a 7-8 mark in dual meets, a two-win improvement from its inaugural season last year.
