Clarks Summit, PA – Marywood University's women's basketball team closed the first half of Monday evening's Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball game with a key, 13-3 run and used another big run in the middle of the second half to defeat host Baptist Bible College, 69-45.  The Pacers secured their sixth-straight double-digit win season while improving to 10-3 on the season and a perfect 5-0 in conference player while the Defenders fall to 9-4 (4-1 CSAC).
 
Baptist Bible used a 7-0 run to build a 17-8 lead with 10:26 to play in the opening half, but Marywood countered with a 17-5 run over the next 4:23 to take a 25-23 lead after Carly Leitzel hit a pair of free throws.  Alyssa Cole tied it back up by making good on a pair of free throws of her own with 5:51 to play in the first half, but the Pacers closed the stanza on a 13-3 run to hold a 38-28 advantage going into the locker room.
 
Baptist Bible cut their deficit to nine points in the opening minutes of the second half, but Marywood would seize final control of the game with a 25-6 spurt over a 15 minute span that put the visitors ahead 67-39 with 3:17 to play as the Pacers notched their second-straight win while remaining unbeaten in conference play. 
 
Four Marywood players reached double figures in scoring, led by Allison Bruet's 14-point effort.  The senior guard also recorded four steals, five assists, and seven rebounds.  Marielle Thorsen added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds.  Leitzel finished the evening with 12 points while Maggie Presnal contributed 11 points.  The Pacers shot 42.9 percent from the field for the game, 27.8 percent from beyond the arc, and a solid 88.9 percent from the free throw line.
 
Kacee Rava led Baptist Bible with a double-double on game-highs of 15 points and 12 rebounds.  Jessica White added seven points and four steals in the loss and ChAmeera Boggs also ended the night with seven points for the Defenders, who shot just 25 percent from the floor, 33.3 from long range, and 78.6 percent from the charity stripe. 
 
Marywood returns to the hardwood on Wednesday evening when they visit Philadelphia Biblical University for a CSAC matchup slated to tipoff at 6:00 p.m.
