Tunkhannock, PA - Marywood University battled tough weather conditions and two Colonial States Athletic Conference foes Friday on the links at Stonehedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock.  Battling fierce winds and even hail at times, the Pacers shot a team score of 369, good enough to beat Cairn (415) but falling seven strokes short of Baptist Bible College (362).  With the win, the Defenders avenge a loss to the Pacers a week ago at Scranton Municipal Golf Course.  The Pacers now stand at 2-2 on the year in head-to-head competitions.

The Defenders' Luke Peterson led all golfers with a low round of 76 on the afternoon.  That was good enough for a five over par on the par 71 course.  Teammate Jordan Greve shot an 83 and was followed by Marywood's Paul Kania, who led the Pacers with a 89.

Shane Davis and Dalton Dierdorff finished fourth and fifth, respectively, with a 90 and 92.  Jack Lawless was the final scoring golfer for Marywood with a 98 on the day.  Sean Stanley shot a 101 for the Pacers.

Marywood returns to the links on October 16 when they participate in the Cyclone Invitational, hosted by Centenary College, at Panther Valley Golf & Country Club in Allamuchy, New Jersey.
