Marywood's win, their sixth straight, improves them to 8-4-1 overall and 5-0 in CSAC play. Keystone's loss drops the Giants to 3-10, 1-5 CSAC. Despite a barrage of shots in the early going, Marywood would not find the back of the net until the 30th minute of play. At the 29:35 mark, Daniel Hull netted his team-leading seventh goal of the season when he stole the ball twenty yards from Keystone's goal, dribbled inside the 18 and chipped the ball in over the charging Keystone goalkeeper. Less than two minutes later the Pacers would double their lead. Marywood was awarded a direct kick just outside the right edge of the 18-yard box. Ryan Jones' cross deflected off the Giants' wall and bounced to a waiting Bert Meekins, who one-timed it past Dany O'Rourke to give the Pacers a two-goal cushion. Despite missing a penalty kick later in the half, Marywood was still able to add to their lead whne in the 39th minute Christian Lawlor one-timed a Brandon Ritter low line drive cross from the left flank to the near post past a diving O'Rourke. Marywood held a commanding 12-0 advantage in shots in the opening half and a 29-7 advantage in the game, but the Giant's spoiled Marywood's attempt at a clean slate when Marywood was called for a hand ball in their own box in the 87th minute. Matt Burford beat Austin Wright on the ensuing penalty kick to make it 3-1. Shane Quinn played the first 70:26 in goal for Marywood without making a save. Wright played the final 19:34 for Marywood. O'Rourke played all 90 minutes in goal for Keystone, making five stops. Marywood returns to action Wednesday afternoon when they take on fellow CSAC unbeaten Neumann University in Aston at 4:00pm.
