Aston, PA - Marywood University and host Neumann University battled to a 0-0 double overtime tie Wednesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's soccer action.  The tie keeps both teams atop the CSAC standings as the playoffs near, with the Pacers moving to 8-4-2 overall (5-0-1 CSAC) and the Knights going to 9-5-3 (5-0-1 CSAC).  Marywood out-shot the hosts 15-8 on the day, but both goaltenders were up to the task.

Marywood held a 7-4 advantage in shots in the opening frame and continued to control the tempo throughout, out-shooting the Knights 6-3 in the second half, though neither team could  generate any real dangerous chances against the strong defenses against both teams.  For the Pacers, Ryan Jones was all over the field for the entire game, eliminating any real threats and young front Neumann line could generate while helping the Pacers get some good looks.  Goalkeepers Alex Lacko of Neumann and Shane Quinn of Marywood each played solid games in net, keeping the game scoreless.

After neither team could generate a shot in the first extra period, Marywood out-shot Neumann 2-1 in the second overtime and had two corner kicks in the final seconds but could not capitalize.

Lacko finished with five saves while Quinn's clean sheet came thanks to six stops.

Marywood returns to action Saturday when they travel to take on Rosemont College at 1:00 pm.  The Ravens are also atop the CSAC standings with a 6-1 league mark.
