Scranton, PA - Visting Gwynedd-Mercy College improved to 12-4 overall and 5-1 in CSAC play as the Griffins downed host Marywood University 10-1 in league play Saturday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood dropped to 4-9 overall and 4-3 in CSAC play with the loss.  Prior to the game, Marywood honored seniors Morgan Walsh, Carly Bergstrom and Jamie Bowman. 

The Griffins dominated from the onset, scoring six first half goals and four more in the second half while only conceding a penalty stroke in the second half.  Kathryn Morin put the Pacers on the board with the stroke midway through the second half.

GMC out-shot Marywood 29-6 for the day and placed 21 shots on goal. Natalie Winters made five saves and allowed five goals in 27:56 of action while Erin Dawson played 42:04, making six stops while conceding the other five goals.

Marywood, who has clinched a CSAC playoff berth, returns to action Monday night at 7:00pm when they host Arcadia University in non-conference action.
