Scranton, PA - Down 2-0 with less than five minutes remaining, Marywood University used a pair of goals from Rachel Lamoreaux to force overtime before winning in the second extra period on a goal from fellow freshman Lauren Eck as the Pacers completed an epic comeback to remain unbeaten in CSAC play.  With the 3-2 double overtime win, Marywood moves to 8-7-1 overall and 8-0-1 in CSAC play while Neumann fell to 8-5-2, 5-2-2 CSAC.

After a scoreless first half in which Marywood out-shot Neumann 7-4 and missed several golden opportunities to find the back of the net, the Knights would find the back of the net first midway through the second half.  In the 71st minute of play, a Marywood foul in their own defensive third gave Neumann a good look at goal with a strong wind a their back.  Neumann played a great ball in, and after several failed clears by the Marywood defense Maria Tivoli was there for the Knights to find the back of the net and give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

Just over a minute later, Neumann seemed to put the game away with an insurance goal after another failed clear by Marywood, this time on a corner kick.  After the ball deflected several times, Tonia Russo was there to put the ball away and give Neumann a 2-0 edge.

With time winding down, Rachel Lamoreaux took a feed from Lauren Eck at the 86:15 mark and slotted Neumann keeper Briana King to make it 2-1.  The Pacers then moved to a 3-4-3, and just under three minutes later got the equalizer from Lamoreaux.  Lamoreaux was on the receiving end of a Siobhan Blancaflor attempt on goal. Blancaflor beat several defenders inside the 18 then put a shot on frame that got behind King.  Lamoreaux ran onto the attempt and put it into the back of the net to make it 2-2.

After a scoreless first overtime in which the Pacers out-shot Neumann 4-0, Lauren Eck took the game under her control in the 103rd minute, taking a feed from Kimberly Vogan just inside the 18 before one-touching the ball inside and placing a beautifully struck ball past a frozen King who was coming out to make a play on the ball.

Marywood held a 25-8 advantage in shots for the game and had 11 corners to Neumann's one.  King made 11 stops in 102:36 of action while Marywood's Emily Osborne had three saves in the win.

Marywood can wrap-up home field advantage for the CSAC playoffs with a win Tuesday against Cedar Crest College. The Pacers host the Falcons at 4:00pm.
