Wilkes-Barre, PA - Visiting Marywood Unviersity dominated from the onset and the Pacers cruised to their first win of the 2012-13 season with a 193-62 win over host King's College Friday evening in non-conference men's swimming action.  Marywood moves to 1-2 on the young season while the Monarchs stand at 0-1.  Jason Beabout, Zachary Haney, Brian Shanahan and Chris Brown were just some of the winners on the night for the Pacers.

The Pacers' 200 medley relay team got the night started right for Marywood as Haney, Brown, Richard Howley and Michael Stauffer won the event in a time of 1:48.13.  Beabout then cruised to a win in the 1000 free, touching in 10:25.17, a full minute ahead of his nearest competitor.  In the 200 free, Haney picked up an individual win with a 1:51.54 while Shanahan was victorious in the 50 yard backstroke, touching in 27.59, .06 ahead of Stauffer, who finished second.  Alex Martino finished third with a time of 29.46. 

In the 50 yard breaststroke, Brown found victory with a time of 30.16 while Andy Blevins continued his strong early season performance with a win in the 100 butterfly (57.02).  Daniel Adams and Beabout finished one-two in the 50 free for the Pacers with Adams winning in a time of 22.95 and Beabout coming in next in 24.45.

Haney (51.02) touched first in the 100 free before Adams and Shanahan finished first and second, respectively, in the 100 backstroke.  Brown picked up another win in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.22) before Blevins won the 500 free in 5:15 flat.  Howley won the 50 butterfly in a time of 26.58 and Haney, Beabout and Shanahan touched 1-2-3 in the 200 IM.  Marywood closed the meet with a win in the 200 free relay as Anthony Pisano, Ryan Widenor, James Weber and Martno teammed up for the win.

Marywood returns to action October 31 with a non-conference meet at Misericordia University.  Meet time is 6:00pm.
