Box Score

Langhorne, PA - Marywood University scored late in the first half and added two second half goals as the Pacers downed host Cairn University 3-1 in the CSAC men's soccer regular season finale for both teams.  Marywood (9-5-3, 6-1-2 CSAC) will enter the CSAC post-season as the #3 seed and host the #6 seed Centenary College on Tuesday night.  The Pacers got two goals from Daniel Hull in the win.

The first half was fairly even with each team registering four shots, but Marywood got on the board with just over three minutes left in the stanza when Daniel Hull scored off a feed from Timothy Kane to put Marywood up 1-0.  The score would remain that way through intermission before Brandon Ritter doubled the Pacers' lead just over 10 minutes into the second half on an unassisted tally.

Cairn cut Marywood's lead in half in the 74th minute on a goal from Cody Mosely, but Hull's second goal of the game on a penalty kick just 30 seconds later provided Marywood with a 3-1 lead they would hold until the final whistle.

Marywood out-shot the Highlanders 13-11 on the day.  Shane Quinn (seven saves) and Matthew Roman (zero saves) each played 45 minutes for Marywood while Joseph Bruce made five saves for Cairn.

Marywood will host Centenary Tuesday night at 7:00pm in the first round of the CSAC tournament.
