Langhorne, PA - Marywood University's women's tennis team earned a 9-0 win over host Cairn University Friday afternoon in Langhorne and as a result have guaranteed themselves at least the #2 seed in next weekend's CSAC Championships.  Marywood still has two conference games left, including a showdown with fellow unbeaten Gwynedd-Mercy College in the last match of the season, but can do no worse than second place the rest of the way.  Marywood improved to 8-2 overall and 8-0 in CSAC play while Cairn fell to 2-8, 1-6 CSAC.

Marywood swept doubles action as both their #1 team of Megan Nastelli and Emily Hoskins and their #3 team of Lauren Fersch and Elizabeth Sullivan won by a score of 8-0.  At #2 doubles, Melissa Hudock and Kristen Lambert won 8-3.

The Pacers got two 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles play from Hudock at #1 singles and Hoskins at #3 singels and got a 6-0, 6-1 win from Lambert at #3 singles.  At #2 singles, Nastelli was a 6-2, 6-0 winner and at #5 singles Fersch won 6-1, 6-1.  Domenica Hudy closed out the win for Marywood with a 6-2, 6-2 win at #6 singles.

Marywood returns to the courts Sunday when they host Elmira College in non-conference action at 2:00pm.
