Scranton, PA - Visiting Keystone College got goals from four different players and points from seven players as the Giants improved to 4-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with a 4-1 win over Marywood University in CSAC field hockey action Saturday afternoon in Scranton.  Hope Krolewski led the way for the Giants with a goal and an assist as Keystone improved to 5-7 overall.  Marywood fell to 1-7, 1-2 CSAC with the loss.

After nearly eight minutes of back and forth play without a shot at either end of the field, Keystone's Christiana Nevers made the most of the Giants' first opportunity as she blasted home a pass from Brittany Cardona to give the Giants a 1-0 lead.  Krolewski doubled the visitor's advantage in the 22nd minute when she scored off a feed from Krystal Wilbur.

Keystone went up 3-0 as Shannon Robinson settled a pass from Brook Stutts and dribbled inside the arc before beating Marywood's Natalie Winters.  Marywood's Kiersten Rauch ended the Giants' shutout bid with just over 18 minutes left when she finished a cross from Gabrielle Vaxmonsky to make it 3-1.

Megan Fry closed out the scoring on the day with a goal with just under over three minutes to play.  Krolewski assisted on Fry's tally.

For the day, Keystone out-shot Marywood 13-9 and had a 12-10 advantage in penalty corners, though five of Marywood's penalty corners came with no time remaining in the second half.  Winters made six saves for Marywood while Nicole Blank (two saves) and Amy Denmon (three saves) each played a half in goal for Keystone.

Marywood returns to action Monday with a trip to Wells College.  The non-conference game is set for a 4:00pm start.
