Marywood Remains Unbeaten in CSAC, Down GMC 3-0

Gwynedd Valley, PA - Marywood University's Daniel Hull had two goals and teammate Brandon Ritter added a goal and an assist as the Pacers downed host Gwynedd-Mercy College 3-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's soccer action Saturday afternoon outside Philadelphia.  Marywood remains unbeaten at 3-0 in CSAC play with the win and improves to 6-4-1 overall while GMC fell to 2-10-1, 1-3-1 CSAC with the loss.

Hull opened the scoring in the 15th minute of play when he scored off a feed from Ryan Jones to give the visitors the lead.  Despite holding a large 13-4 lead in shots in the opening frame, Marywood could not find the back of the net again the rest of the first half.

Hull doubled the Pacers' lead just 4:54 into the second half after finished a feed from Ritter.  Unlike Tuesday night's game against Centenary College where Marywood dominated in shots and held a late lead, Marywood put today's game away early as Ritter scored in the 61st minute to make it 3-0.  Richard Fifi picked up the assist on Ritter's first goal of the season.

Marywood held a commanding 23-8 lead in shots and put 14 on frame to GMC's three.  Shane Quinn stopped those three shots from the Griffins to earn the shutout while Greg Gengaro made a game-high 11 saves for Gwynedd.

Marywood returns to action Wednesday when they host Baptist Bible College at 4:00pm.
