Volleyball Falls in Four at PSU-Berks

Reading, PA - Marywood University and host PSU-Berks split games one and two but the host Lions pulled away with wins in games three and four as the Pacers fell on the road 3-1 in non-conference volleyball action Tuesday evening in Reading.  Marywood dropped to 11-9 on the year while the host Lions improved to 13-8 with the win.

PSU-Berks won the opening set 25-15, but Marywood responded with a 25-20 win over the Lions in the second set.  The Lions responded with wins by the scores of 25-20 and 25-19 to put the match away.

Rachel Tollett had at match-high 28 digs for Marywood while Kelly Chadwick had 35 assists on the night.  Kayla Mosser led PSU-Berks with 18 kills and Abby Musselman had 42 assists in the win.  Musselman added a career-high 23 digs, helping her reach the double-digit assist/dig mark for the ninth time this season.

Marywood returns to action on October 20 when they travel to Baltimore, Maryland to take on CSAC foe Notre Dame.  The match with the Gators is set for a 1:00pm start.
