Scranton, PA - Visiting Catholic University of America downed host Marywood University 117-84 in Landmark Conference women's swimming action Sunday afternoon in Scranton.  Catholic moves to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in Conference action while Marywood, who got new school records from Kim Petersen in the 200 breaststroke and from their 400 medley relay team, falls to 2-8 (2-2 Landmark).

Petersen set a new Marywood record in the 200 breaststroke with a first place showing in a time of 2:39.88.  The 400 medley relay team also set a new school record despite finishing in second place.  The team of Olivia Hower, Petersen, Amber Sharkey and Kayleigh Velott touched in a new record time of 4:27.49, which was just three seconds off the winning time of 4:24.02.

The Pacers' 400 free relay team finished first as Valerie Barlow, Kara Hoff, Sharkey and Emma Fritzinger worked together for the fastest time of 4:06.45.  Katie Paterson was another first place winner for Marywood, winning the 1000 free in a time of 11:04.58.

Marywood had second place showings from Velott (200 free, 2:09.88), Hoff (50 free, 27.27), Petersen (200 IM, 2:25.06) and Paterson (500 free, 5:31.31) on the day. 

Marywood returns to action this weekend as they travel to Kutztown University to take part in the Golden Bear Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
