Scranton, PA - Marywood University placed four players in double figures and got 24 points from both Matt Tintle and Ryan Corrigan as the Pacers picked up their first win of the season with a 91-75 victory over visiting Penn State Worthington Scranton Tuesday evening at the Insalaco Arena.  Marywood (1-2) also got double-digit performances from Andrew Andrle and Shane Kellaher in the win, which snapped a three-game win-streak for the Lions.  PSU fell to 3-2 with the loss.

Marywood built a comfortable 19 point lead at the break (47-28) thanks to nearly 50% shooting from the floor in the opening stanza.  Marywood led by as many as 22 (34-12)  at one point.  Holding a 8-6 lead just two and a half minutes into the game, the Pacers exploded on a 15-0 run to take the game over.

The second half became a little more interesting when the Lions clawed back to within 10, but the visitors missed a free throw that would have brought the Pacers' lead to single digits and from there Marywood went on a 10-2 run to ice the game.

Both Corrigan's and Tintle's 24 point nights were game-highs.  Corrigan's came on 10 of 17 shooting from the floor and a 3-of-4 effort from three-point range, while Tintle went 10 of 18.  Tintle also led the Pacers with nine boards.

Kwame Simmons led three PSU players in double digits with 23 points.  Hasiin Dixon had 22 and Shane Letthand had 15.  Yusef Savage had a game-high 10 boards.

Marywood returns to action Saturday when they face off against Division I Binghamton University at 7:00pm in Binghamton.
