Five Pacers Hit Double-Figures in Win at Keystone

La Plume, PA – Five Pacers reached double-figures reached double-figures as Marywood University topped Keystone College 62-50 in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.  The Pacers lift their record to 15-6 on the season with the win and 10-2 in conference play while the loss drops the Giants' record to 7-14 overall and 4-8 in the CSAC.
 
The first half of Saturday's contest was tightly played as the teams swapped the lead six times and Marywood held the largest advantage of the opening 20 minutes at five points when they led 9-4 with 16:44 to play in the first half.  Keystone claimed a 25-24 lead with 3:29 left in the period on a jumper by Alexis Jones and held a 29-26 lead at halftime.
 
The Giants stretched their advantage to as many as five points in the second half, but Marywood battled back an reclaimed the lead, 41-39, with 10:33 remaining on a Mariah Schaeffer bucket.  The Pacers quickly stretched their lead to six points, but Keystone rallied to cut their deficit to 46-43 with 6:39 to play.  The Pacers responded with 11-4 run to take control of the contest with a 57-47 lead with 1:01 left on the clock. 
 
Morgann Haduck led all players with 17 points and five steals for the game while Schaeffer finished the contest with 13 points.  Ashley Murray, Carly Leitzel, and Allison Bruet each contributed 10 points for the Pacers, who shot 31.1 percent from the field for the game, 26.3 percent from three-point range, and 61.3 percent from the free throw line.  Bruet and Schaeffer dished out three assists apiece for Marywood while Bruet grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
 
Tiana Cuttino led Keystone with 15 points while Chantel Blake added a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.  The Giants shot 32.2 percent from the floor for the contest and 47.8 percent from the charity stripe while connecting on just one of 16 attempts from beyond the arc.  Keystone held a 50-32 advantage in rebounds for the contest. 
 
Marywood returns to action on Wednesday night in Allentown when they take on Cedar Crest College in a CSAC contest slated to tipoff at 7:00 pm.
