LaPlume, PA – Keystone College snapped a two-game CSAC losing streak with a 84-71 win over visiting Marywood University Wednesday night in men's basketball action. The Giants never trailed in the contest and got a game-high 21 points from Kenneth Hardnett.  Keystone improved to 18-4 overall and 12-3 in league play while Marywood slipped to 8-14 and 7-8 in CSAC action.

After a back-and-forth opening 7:30 with the hosts holding a 12-11 lead, Keystone used an 11-2 run and never looked back en route to the win.  The Giants would go up by as many as 16 (34-18) with just over three minutes left in the opening half but a 16-6 run from Marywood got the Pacers back to within six with just 44 ticks left in the first half.  The Giants would use a Hardnett jumper as time expired to go into the locker room with a 45-36 lead.

A three from Brent Keyes got Marywood back to within six to start the second half, but Dan Candemeres three minutes later gave the Giants another double-digit lead (50-40). From there, the hosts would not allow Marywood back within single digits and eventually built a 21-point lead.

Hardnett's game-high 21 came on 9 of 12 shooting from the floor and the senior would also grab 10 boards to complete the double-double.  Duncan Lunsford had 19 points for the hosts while Malcolm Boon and Miles Dargan each added 11.  Boon had a game-high 14 rebounds to complete the second double-double for the Giants.

Keyes and Ryan Corrigan each had 18 for Marywood.  Matt Lepri and Pierre Bakinde each had 12 for the Pacers with Lepri grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds.

Marywood returns to action Saturday when they host Baptist Bible College.  Tip-off in the Insalaco Arena is set for 3:00 pm.
