Marywood improved to 11-5 with the win while King's fell to 5-7. Shane Miller was 5-for-5 at the plate with a homer, two doubles and four RBI to lead Marywood. Marywood opened the scoring in the first when Mike Diskin, who had reached on a bunt to lead off the game and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from Jonathan Woytach, scored on a Nicholas Pasqualichio RBI double to left center. Pasqualichio then came around when Shane Miller connected on his second homer of the year. The Pacers would go ahead 5-0 on two more runs in the third when Miller doubled in another RBI and Josh Plisko walked with the bases loaded. King's would finally get on the scoreboard in the home half of the fourth when Chris Sweeney doubled to start the inning and eventually scored on a Rich Acierno sacrifice fly-out to center. But the Pacers would go up 9-1 when they crossed the plate four more times in the top of the sixth. Diskin would pick up his second bunt single of the game and Woytach followed by reaching safely on another bunt. Pasqualichio would then pick up an RBI single to score Diskin and Miller would pick up his fourth RBI of the game with a single to score Woytach. Chris Ortiz's RBI single in the next at-bat would score Pasqualichio, and Miller would score when David Maione singled through the right side of the infield. Marywood starting pitcher Michael Ciavarella, who scattered six hits while allowing just the run one through the first five innings, got in a little trouble in the bottom of the sixth when he gave up a pair of singles around a walk as the Monarchs loaded the bases with no outs. Another free pass made it 9-2 in favor of the Pacers and King's catcher Tim Marchetti followed with an RBI single through the left side to make it 9-3. Ciavarella (3-0) would get the first out of the inning when he fanned Cody Krupa, and a fielder's choice resulted in another run but also got the second out for the junior hurler. A routine grounder would then end thing inning with the Monarchs trailing 9-4. Rich Bell went on the mound for the Pacers in the seventh, and despite giving up a single to start the inning got three quick infield groundouts to end the inning. From there, Ryan Pelle and Nicholas DeFebo entered and did not allow a hit in the eighth and ninth, respectively, to preserve the victory. Miller finished the game 5-for-5 at the plate with a homer, two doubles and four RBIs. Pasqualichio, meanwhile, was 4-for-6 with three runs scored and a pair of RBIs. Ciavarella struck out five while Pelle fanned two in the eighth and Nicholas DeFebo struck out two in the ninth to preserve the win.
