Aston, PA - Marywood University's Ashley Dommes hit a home run in each game to tie the Pacers' career homerun record as visiting Marywood took two games from host Neumann University Saturday afternoon at Sun Valley High School in Aston.  Dommes, who now has 17 career homeruns, sits tied with Sue King who hit 17 from 1984-1987.  Marywood who won game one 10-4 and game two 13-12 (nine innings), improved to 6-10 overall and 4-0 in CSAC play while the Knights fell to 6-10 (4-2 CSAC).

In the opener, Marywood got all the runs they would need over the first two innings as the Pacers plated three runs in each inning to take an early 6-1 lead.  Marywood tacked on one in each the third and fourth inning and two more in the sixth to take home the 10-4 win.  Dommes doubled and homered in the game as part of a 2-for-5 effort at the plate. Katherine King improved to 2-3 on the mound with a six-inning effort on the mound.  The freshman hurler allowed eight hits and four runs while striking out five.  Alexandra Stine came on and pitched the final inning in relief, getting the Knights in order.

The nightcap was a different story, and this time it took the Pacers nine innings to remain unbeaten in conference action.  Marywood trailed 7-0 after five full innings, but the Pacers got four in the sixth to make it 7-4.  Despite giving up another run int he bottom half of the sixth, Marywood responded with another four-run frame in the seventh to force extra innings.

There, after a scoreless eighth, Marywood out-scored the hosts 5-4 in the ninth to win 13-12.  Meghin Palmer was 4-for-5  with an RBI while Dommes went 3-for-4 with four RBI and her second homer of the afternoon.  Stine got the win on the mound to move to 2-2 after pitching the final five innings of the game.  Kaitlyn Jones started and went four innings.
