Scranton, PA - After a disappointing 2-1 loss to Keystone College in the opening game, Marywood University bounce back for a big 23-0 win over the Giants in game two as Kim Lope and Ashley Dommes each set new school records for the Pacers in the win.  Lope swiped one base in each game and now holds the new school record for Marywood with 103 career stolen bases while Dommes hit a grand-slam in the third inning of the nightcap for her 18th career homerun to also set a new school record.

In the opener, Marywood (7-11, 5-1 CSAC) left 13 runners on base and the Giants scored once in the fifth and once in the sixth to take the 2-1 win over the Pacers.  Keystone's Karissa Worobey evened her record at 4-4 on the year by allowing just one run over a complete-game seven inning effort.  The Giants (9-8, 2-4 CSAC) got RBIs from Samanta Hartman and Jessica Weingart in the win.

Marywood's Kellsie Davis waas 2-for-3 with an RBI while Mariah Runco was 3-for-4.  Alexandra Stine (2-3) took the loss despite allowing just four hits and striking out 10.

The nightcap was a completely different story for the Pacers as they jumped all over the Giants en route to a 23-0 win.  Lope set the new school career stolen base record after reaching on an error in the first and swiping second.  Marywood then scored four times in the inning and added one more in the fifth before exploding for nine runs in both the third and fourth.

In the third, with the bases juiced, Dommes drove a ball to deep right center for her 18th career homerun, setting the new school mark in stylish fashion with a grand-slam.  Kaitlyn Jones (3-3) got the win after allowing just four hits while striking out five over four innings of work.  Katherine King pitched a scoreless fifth inning in relief, getting the Giants in order to end the game.

Marywood returns to action Saturday when they host Baptist Bible College (12-6, 6-0 CSAC) at 1:00pm.
