Marywood Finishes Fourth in Golf

Myrtle Beach, SC - Marywood University shot a team score of 355 in extreme wind and cold conditions at the Love Course to finish in fourth place in a quad-match Tuesday afternoon.  Playing at the par 72, 6,542 yard course that is part of the Bearfoot Resort & Golf complex in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the Pacers were led by Paul Kania, who shot an 84 on the day. 

Point Park University (Pittsburgh) won the event after scoring a 314 while Baldwin Wallice College (Ohio) finished second with a 323 to edge third place Westminster (PA) who scored 327.  Billy Wivell of Point Park University was the medalist with a low round of 76 on the afternoon. 

M. Frank Major shot the second lowest score behind Kania's 84 with an 86 of his own while Matthew Janowicz scored a 92 and Robert Crofton finished with a 93.

Marywood returns to the links Thursday when they take part in another quad-match where they will square off against Widener, Muhlenberg and CSAC foe Cabrini College.
