Clearmont, FL - Marywood University fell to 0-4 on the year after day two of their spring break trip to the National Training Center in Clearmont, Florida, as the Pacers fell to Northwestern College (MN) 7-4 and to St. Vincent College (PA), 8-1.  Northwestern improved to 2-5 after the win while St. Vincent's moved to 3-3 on the year.

In the opener against Northwestern, Marywood's Katherine King pitched a complete game, but gave up six runs in the first to take the loss.  King settled down after the first, allowing just one more run in the seventh while striking out three.  Marywood rallied with four runs late but could not complete the comeback.

Kim Lope went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI while Meghan Palmer was 3-for-4 with three singles.  Kaitlyn Jones was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Jillian Flanagan was 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In the second game, St. Vincent improved to 3-3 on the year with a 8-1 win over the Pacers.  Jaclyn Parsons took the loss for Marywood after allowing seven runs over 5.1 innings of work.  Marywood managed only five hits in the game and left seven runners stranded on base.  Diana Butash went 2-for-3 with an RBI. 

Marywood returns to action tomorrow when they again face off with St. Vincent (5:00 pm) and also take on DeSales University (7:00pm).
