Clearmont, FL - Marywood University moved to 2-8 on the year after the Pacers split on their final day of action in Florida.  Marywood beat Oswego State University 8-3 but fell to St. Francis (Illinois) 4-1 to close our their trip.  Marywood returns to action Friday when they open Colonial States Athletic Conference play with a doubleheader at Cedar Crest College.

In the opener, Alexandra Stein improved to 1-2 on the year on the mound after getting the win. Stein struck out two over five innings and was releived by Katherine King, who struck out two in two innings of relief work.  Marywood scored two runs in the first and fifth innings and had a four run second to pick up the 8-3 win.

Kim Lope went 1-for-4 with a double and run scored while Meghin Palmier was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.  Jillian Flanagan was 3-for-4 with an RBI while Diana Butash went 2-for-4 with an RBI.  Chelsea Zimmerman had a triple for the Pacers.

In the nightcap, Marywood fell to the University of St. Francis (Illinois) by a score of 4-1.  Kaitlyn Jones fell to 1-2 on the mound after taking the loss despite a complete game effort.  Lope was 2-for-4 while Jones went 2-for-3 at the plate.  King was also 2-for-3 with two singles in the game.
