Scranton, PA - Keystone College responded to Friday's 4-3 loss to Marywood University by taking both ends of a doubleheader from the Pacers Sunday afternoon in Scranton despite solid pitching efforts from Marywood's staff in both games.  The Giants took advantage of several fielding miscues from Marywood to win the opener 6-0 before using a three-run  homer from Lymbel Guerrero to win a rain-shortened nightcap 5-1 in six innings.

The Giants (12-4, 5-1 CSAC) were held in check for much of the opening game until they got four runs in the fourth to break open the game.  After a deep infield single and sacrifice bunt, Guerrero singled in a run with a shot to left field.  From there, defensive lapses cost Marywood three more runs as the Giants went up 4-0.  Keystone would tack on two more runs in the seventh for the 6-0 win.

Blaine O'Brien improved to 4-1 on the mound with the win in the opener, going seven full innings for the complete-game while allowing just two hits and striking out six.  Esteban Meletiche was 2-for-4 with three RBI for Keystone int eh opener while Andrew Siano had two hits as well.

Michael Ciavarella (3-1) was handed his first loss of the year after allowing six runs (three earned) on eight hits over 6.1 innings of work.  Russel Baldino pitched the final two-thirds of the seventh and allowed one hit while striking out two.  Josh Plisko was 1-for-2 for Marywood while Nicholas Pasqualichio (1-for-3) got Marywood's only other hit.

In the rain shortened second game, the Giants went up 1-0 in the third on a wild pitch and 2-0 on a RBI single before Guerrero hit a three-run shot over the left center fence to make it 5-0.  Jason Aikens (1-2) took the loss after allowing five runs on six hits while striking out two.  Rob Rogers (3-1) got the win with a complete-game one-hitter with six k's.  The game was called after six full innings due to rain.  Josh Plisko had Marywood's lone hit in the second game.

Marywood returns to action Tuesday when they host Penn State Wilkes-Barre in non-conference action at 3:00 pm.
